a man of sorrows
he had no form or majesty that we should look at him,and no beauty that we should desire him.
He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows,
and acquainted with grief;
and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised,
and we esteemed him not.
surely he has borne our griefsand carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted......
他诚然担当我们的忧患,背负我们的痛苦;

on vacation
someone please look after my plants.....

found from net, i love the best answer that i never heard before :)...
sound like a piece of installation work.
(asker: I'll be away for a few months...how do I keep my plant alive while I'm away over the summer? )
best answer from Francios JV:Go to your nearest hospital/clinic/drugstore and ask them if you can get a number of empty drip bags (those things they use in hospital to slowly administer medicine/liquids) with the control thing on the tube still intact. Refill a lot of them and tie them one way or another above the plant and set the drip to a very slow drip rate. Please test the volume it will administer and work out how long it will last. Possibly you will be able to go away and come back in a few months time with the plant well watered and still alive.
You must get a lot of the drips to be able to set it at a very slow rate but the quantity of water must be sufficient to sustain the plant. Alternatively you must be able to organize a big container with the drip gadget on to last the time that you are gone.
Hope your plant survives.
If you are one of those who talk to the plant, you must leave a recording of your talking on a timer as well !

A fever isn't an illness
doctor, i have a fever; and sore throat, cough, muscle aches....
- a fever isn't an illness itself, but it's usually a sign that something out of the ordinary is going on in your body. Fevers aren't necessarily bad. In fact, fevers seem to play a key role in helping your body fight off a number of infections.... (mayoclinic.com)
- have a sore throat, a dry cough, tiredness, mild headaches or muscle aches? hmm...then may have a cold of flu.
- to treat your cold and flu symptoms
- get plenty of rest, especially while you have a fever.
- stop smoking and avoid secondhand smoke, which can make cold symptoms worse ( is alright, i wasn't a smoker).
- drink lots of fluids like water and clear soups. fluids help loosen mucus. fluids are also important because they help prevent dehydration.
- avoid alcohol (....too bad).
- gargle with warm salt water a few times a day to relieve a sore throat. throat sprays or lozenges may also help relieve the pain. (familydoctor.org)

topoware, eating is a journey

MocoLoco interviews Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino and Karola Torkos about their Topoware:
.....taking inspiration from the recent popularity of geography as a media [sic] of communication (with Google maps) and more specifically with topographic maps, which define heights of a landscape two dimensionally, Topoware in turn, "outlines" the dining experience."
Made up of cups, plates, bowls, placemats and a tablecloth, the collection explores the visual and social landscape of dining by using outlines and descriptions to describe, question and push our eating experience, making it really feel like a journey.....
