why do i love this deceptively simple poem by William Carlos Williams? would anyone care to explain?
I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox
and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast
Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold
(Multi award-winning director Yasmin Ahmad suffered a stroke yesterday when she was at Sri Pentas for a 3pm meeting with Datuk Siti Nurhaliza and Media Prima representatives for an undisclosed project.)
